How does a dog get left to starve in the middle of nowhere... and still wake up every morning believing humans are the greatest thing ever?
That's Rosie.
She's about 18 months old, and she's everything a young Rottweiler should be—bold, hilarious, incredibly loyal, whip-smart, and just enough of a troublemaker to keep life interesting. Underneath all that big-dog muscle is a goofy little kid who just wants someone to tell her she's a good girl.
Every morning starts the same way. Before breakfast, Rosie demands payment...
Not in food.
In kisses.
In belly rubs.
In scratches.
In being told she's beautiful.
Positive affirmations are basically her love language.
Once her emotional tank is full, she'll politely sit and wait for breakfast until she's released with an "OK." Then the real fun begins.
Fetch.
Zoomies.
Running victory laps around the yard with her favorite toy while daring you to catch her.
She has enough puppy energy to make you laugh every single day.
Rosie is also a world-class collector of things that don't belong to her.
Socks? Finders keepers.
Shoes? Obviously hers.
Purse? She's just keeping it safe.
If it smells like you, Rosie assumes it's a gift.
She's a total Velcro dog who wants to be wherever her people are. Watching TV? She's there. Working outside? She's helping. Folding laundry? Perfect! More socks for her collection. She especially adores men and forms deep bonds with her people.
Like every great Rottie, she's loyal beyond words, eager to learn, incredibly food motivated, and protective of the people she loves. She's already crate trained, potty trained, doggie-door trained, knows "sit," and patiently waits for permission before eating her meals.
She even takes her neighborhood security job seriously... unless you're the UPS or FedEx driver. For reasons we're still trying to figure out, she seems to think they're pretty wonderful.
The truth is, someone failed this beautiful girl once. She was found starving and alone.
But Rosie refuses to let that define her.
She still trusts.
She still loves with her whole heart.
She still believes her person is out there.
And when she finds them, they'll get the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog that makes every day brighter, every adventure more fun, and every home feel a little more complete.
Rosie isn't looking for perfection.
She's just looking for someone who won't let her go.
