Meet Phillip - our very special guy who needs a home! He is about a 5-6 month old 10lb terrier mix who came to us from the animal shelter as he could not stop bleeding from his neuter incision. We discovered he has a very rare bleeding disorder called Hemophilia A, which is caused by a lack of blood clotting factor VIII. Without enough factor VIII, the blood cannot clot properly to control bleeding. He required a special blood transfusion to stop the bleeding from his incision and now he is all healed and ready to find a new home. Due to his bleeding disorder, we need to find a home that has a lower risk of him getting injuries. Even though he is a super friendly guy, he should live without any other pets. Phillip loves everyone he meets! He loves to play and loves to prance on walks! He has a great little spirit despite growing up in a veterinary hospital! We would help with his vet care in future regarding his bleeding disorder if needed in hopes more people would be willing to adopt or foster this fun and rare little gem of a guy!
